The Forge was founded in 2017 Marion Technical College and Marion Area Chamber’s Leadership. The goal as this grows, is to support small businesses and entrepreneurs in Marion, OH. The goal is to make The Forge an asset to the community, a place where ideas transform.
Ignite Ohio Finalist February 2020
Jordan Energy Alternative was named one of six finalists in the 2020 IGNITE Business Pitch Competition in Columbus. The SunDown Group and Better Business Bureau present the annual IGNITE! Pitch With Purpose and BBB Spark Awards event where startups who demonstrate a foundation of integrity and purpose pitch their ideas to a panel of business and community leaders.

BRITE Energy Innovators – Ohio’s energy tech incubator – is dedicated to ensuring the success of startups driving innovation in energy tech. We accomplish this by offering consultation services to startups & small-and-medium-size enterprises, lab space and equipment for device testing and R&D and affordable office space and coworking memberships.
Selected to CTO Accelerator in April 2020
JEA was selected to the 2020 CleanTech Open Accelerator Cohort. CTO is the largest and oldest accelerator for clean technology entrepreneurs. It has created more than 3,000 “clean” economy jobs.

Marion, Ohio Native. Jason Jordan has designed, developed, tested, and deployed electrical/mechanical test equipment, for the purpose of end-of-line functional testing and in-line data gathering services for residential laundry dryers. In his career, Jason has designed and deployed automotive HVAC, engine cooling, and electronic switching End of Line test systems. This has required Jason to have working experience developing small networks and interacting with large enterprise networks, develop and maintain servers for data warehousing. This has also included design and deploy automation techniques using PLCs, Python applications, and LabVIEW. Jason has experience deploying CoBot machine vision, pattern recognition with deep learning, fluid flow measurement, Watt/Amp/Volt instrumentation, and true acceleration vibration measurement with waveform signal analysis. In support of all his electrical/mechanical hard skills and software abilities, Jason has also used SixSigma, project management, and data mining for root cause analysis.
